Introduction:

This course will provide the opportunity to learn about winter propagation – multiplying plants easily and cheaply. As a vegetative form of propagation the new plants will be true to type.

A keen interest in horticulture.

What will the course involve?

Demonstration and practice of propagation techniques including:

  • Identifying plants suitable for hardwood cuttings or division

  • Practicing propagation techniques

  • Recognising appropriate growing media

How long will I be learning?

Although this course only lasts for one day, this is only the start and you’ll carry on learning as you put your new skills into practice.

What equipment will I need?

All equipment is provided, but you will need to wear sensible footwear and outdoor clothing.

How will I know if I am making progress?

Demonstration of new skills.

What course work will I be expected to complete?

Practical skills during the course.
